Step 2:

Using the supplied cleat, locate it on the wall with the short edge against the wall. and the bent edge facing up.

Mark the hole on the wall for one screw.  Leveling is done in the next step.

Install one of the two screws into the wall stud or wall anchor.

Step 2.jpg

Whenever possible, mount at least one screw for the cleat into a wall stud with a the screw provided.

Otherwise, use 2 heavy duty wall anchors and matching screws provided.

Step 3:

With one screw in the wall and tight enough to hold the cleat firm.

Level the cleat.  Mark the second hole on the wall.

Step 3.jpg

Step 4:

Slide the cleat down the wall and install drywall anchor in wall on the mark from Step 3.

Step 4.jpg

Step 5:

Slide the cleat back up over the drywall anchor and install drywall anchor screw.  Recheck level.  There is room for adjustment if you loosen the screws a little.

Step 5.jpg

Step 6:

Lower the item down on the cleat and make sure it has fully seated into the wall cleat.

In many cases, no further steps are required.

Most of the items I sell are quite heavy and will require a solid mount of the cleat to the wall.  If you suspect any screw is not holding the cleat well, simply move the cleat mounting slightly up or down and redo the mounting.

Step 7:

On some items, especially liquor dispensers, I provide a leveling hole on the item.

Once the item is fully seated on the cleat, level it exactly.

Install one screw through the leveling hole into the drywall.  Remove the item, install a wall anchor and re-install screw.  This will keep the item perfectly level.
